We do not transmit account numbers or any other private information through the Internet. Your browser must support 128-bit encryption as each online banking session will be encrypted. This ensures that the moment information leaves your computer to the moment it enters ours, your information is secure.

How much does it cost?
There are currently no fees charged by the bank for online banking. Our main priority to you is to provide fast, convenient ways to enhance your banking experience at First Manhattan. You will, however, be responsible for phone and Internet Service Provider charges.

What can I do online?
Online banking offers many features to help you maintain your accounts from your home or office any time of day!
Online banking allows you to:
-view up-to-the-minute (real time) balances and transactions on each of your accounts;
-review current and previous months checking statements;
-transfer funds between your accounts;
-view loan balance and loan payment information;
-view and place stop payments on checks; or
-download your latest account information to money management software!
If you make a deposit at a teller window or transfer money using the phone system, all information is updated immediately to reflect those transactions in online banking!

When is online banking available?
We make every effort to make online banking available to you 24 x 7. At certain times we will perform maintenance on our systems which may make the system inaccessible for a short period of time. Whenever possible, we will post a notice on the website prior to system maintenance.

How can I sign up for Online Banking?

How do I set up payees in online banking?
You may set up your payees in online banking either by check or by using our electronic payee database. Pay virtually anyone in the United States using the bill pay service option! Make sure to use your invoice and return envelope to correctly establish a new payee.

When will my bills be paid?
You control when your bills are paid by completing a personalized payment schedule which can be modified at any time. For your convenience, you may set up your payments to be either one-time or recurring. First Bank of Manhattan will take care of deducting the specified amount from you account on the date you have chosen. (Please set your payment due dates 5 days prior to when the bill is due to allow for on-time delivery of payments.)

What if I do not have enough money in my account?
Our bank will treat bill payment items just like any other check that you write. If you do not have the funds available to pay a bill, we can return the item for non-sufficient funds. In addition, you will be charged overdraft fees.

How much does this service cost?
The Bill Payment service is currently free to our customers.

Can I set up recurring payments?
Yes. You can set up recurring payments in the following frequencies:
- Weekly
- Semi-Monthly
- Monthly

Will the memo field that I fill out when setting up a payment be passed on to the merchant?
No. The memo field is for your personal records, however the account number that you entered when you added the payee to your Personal Payee List is printed on the check. This allows the payee to know to which account to apply the payment.
